Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service Manager

The Customer Service Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Reps while providing support for key customers.  These accounts are vital to the success of the organization and thus require a skilled salesperson to appropriately nurture those relationships.  Primary areas of focus include ensuring the team meets (and exceeds) their quota, anticipating customer needs, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.  This role leads by example and lives our values while working to promote success for both our customers and our team.  The position also manages our Customer Service group and ensures effective collaboration between multiple internal and external points of contact.

Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and deepening our existing customer relationships.  This may also include sourcing, coordinating with, and meeting potential customers in the industry that have cannabis testing needs.  Primary areas of focus are servicing existing customers and promoting retention, generating new business, and successfully onboarding new accounts.

R&D Scientist

The R&D Scientist is responsible for leading all new development of service offerings, participating in various research efforts, evaluating equipment, and being involved with the lab staff to support their technical needs.  This role may also lead lab staff during certain assigned projects.  The R&D Scientist is accountable for knowing and following all Company policies and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Routinely review analysis of samples using analytical procedures for which training has occurred.
  • Obtain traceable, reproducible, and reliable results with limited supervision.
  • Create and update laboratory technical procedures associated with various assays, in partnership with the Lab Director.
  • Perform and be responsible for initial data quality and review.
  • Train technical staff on procedures and techniques.
  • Participate in both lab audits and investigations, as necessary.
  • Monitor the maintenance of analytical instrumentation for both routine and non-routine needs.
  • Evaluate both OOS and CAPA reports with the Lab Director and Quality department.
  • Take the lead on customer complaints and provide needed insight from the laboratory.
  • Provided opinions and interpretations when necessary regarding the quality and meaning of analytical data contained within analytical reports provided to customers.

Field Sampler

The Field Sampler is responsible for conducting routine pickups and processing of regulatory compliance as well as R&D samples for laboratory analysis.  This includes accurately recording sample and chain of custody documentation and the safe and secure transportation of all samples to the laboratory.

  • Perform onsite field sampling pickups in accordance with all laws and regulations related to the legal cannabis market and laboratory operating procedures.

  • Build long-lasting customer relationships.

  • Maintain the department’s staff schedule.  This includes approving time sheets, time-off requests, establishing proactive coverage plans, and similar.

  • Track and maintain daily production to ensure turnaround time is met.
  • Help maintain inventory supplies.  This includes order requests and storage of materials (i.e. analytical reference materials).
  • Monitor the maintenance of analytical instrumentation.

Lab Analyst

The Lab Analyst is responsible for performing, documenting, record checking, and troubleshooting qualitative and quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from the use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.  This role participates in manufacturing QC support such as cleaning verification and environmental monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup and test equipment in the laboratory to complete specific procedures.
  • Perform complex chemical tests on materials and samples as requested or assigned.
  • Interpret and evaluate data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective action related to test results when necessary.
  • Comprehend and perform routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.
  • Author routine assay protocols and conduct assay, process, and instrument qualifications.
  • Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples.  
  • Perform maintenance on laboratory equipment by making calibrations, cleaning, replacing parts, and otherwise ensuring ongoing proper working order.  Report equipment issues to supervisor.

Lab Technician

The Lab Technician is responsible for working closely with our laboratory team to develop analytical skills and related experience.  This role works in an environment where various techniques are employed that vary from the use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation.  Although the Lab Technician does not perform data review, the skill sets developed by training with the team require keen attention to detail and a foundational understanding of scientific principles.

  • Input data into LIMS and seed-to-sale system, as required.
